Mark Your Calendars: Friday, June 21st

Bostonians, Prepare for a City-Wide Celebration

Get ready, Boston! The iconic duck boat parade will once again cruise through the streets of our beloved city, this time to honor the triumphant Boston Celtics. Mayor Michelle Wu proudly announced Tuesday morning that the parade is scheduled for this Friday, June 21st, at 11 am.

The Celtics clinched their 18th NBA championship with a resounding 106-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals. Now, it's time for the city to come together and celebrate this historic achievement.

The parade will commence at 11 am, starting at the intersection of Boylston Street and Tremont Street. It will then proceed down Boylston Street, turn onto Charles Street, and make its way to Boston Common. The parade route will be lined with cheering fans, waving flags, and celebratory music.

Mayor Wu encourages all Bostonians to come out and support the Celtics. "This is a moment to celebrate not only the team's incredible victory but also the spirit of our city," she said.

So mark your calendars for Friday, June 21st, and join the thousands of Bostonians who will gather to honor our NBA champions. Let's show the world that Boston is a city that knows how to celebrate its sporting heroes.
